One Israeli soldiers be exchanged 1027 Palestinian Prisoners

 

 The Israeli government and Hamas finally reached agreement on the release of Gilad Shalit, Israeli soldiers who became prisoners of Hamas over the past five years. The agreement stated Sergeant Shalit in exchange 1027 Palestinian prisoners.
Vote in the Israeli cabinet, 26 cabinet supports the exchange of the members and three votes against the other.
Shalit's freedom was announced by the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in a television broadcast. "We've completed the tough negotiations with Hamas for the release of Gilat Shalit. He will return in a few days," Netanyahu said on Tuesday (10/11/2011).
Shalit who was then aged 19, were arrested in cross-border raid in 2006. Various attempts failed negotiations for his release. Military operation to release Shalit did not work.
"We will return Gilad in good health to their families and all Israel. Negotiations very difficult. We have to take difficult decisions, but that is true. With all the changes that occur in the Middle East, we do not know if there are better deals or possible," Netanyahu said.
Talks on Shalit release mediated by Egypt. The deal was taken on Thursday (6/10/2011) and formally signed by Israel and the Palestinians on Tuesday (11/10/2011).
In a speech broadcast on Hamas television, Al-Quds, Hamas leader in exile, Khaled Meshaal, said Israel would release 1027 Palestinian prisoners, including women.
Shortly after the speech Meshaal, the Al-Aqsa television which also showed the Hamas-run atmosphere of celebration agreement in Gaza.
Netanyahu's spokesman, Mark Regev, said that, in the first stage, 450 prisoners will be freed. One hundred and ten of them were returned to the West Bank, while 40 others going abroad. For the second stage, 550 prisoners scheduled to be released two months later. Regev said Palestinian lawmaker, Marwan Barghouti, excluding those exempted.
Netanyahu said he had told Shalit's parents, Noam and Aviva Shalit. "I told them that I hold my promise and bring home a child," Netanyahu said before his cabinet.
From Colombia, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the deal. "We've been waiting for this deal. We hope that all Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons," Abbas said WAFA news agency reported.
